Guys, I have a... strange thing to inform you about the Fluttertime project :S

Thing is as follows:

Newgrounds (the site I'm planning on releasing the game), has a limit of 20 MBs for a flash file (either animation or game, doesn't matter). As you all might know, I was planning on adding some backstory, two "ending scenes" and such... but here's the thing... the project is seriously on the 20MB edge as of now (without including all that "additional content") and I've cut as many resources and corners as I could, so there's no way in hell I can find another way of making it smaller for the "added content" to fit in, so...

I'm guessing I'll have to simplify it a little... meaning leaving behind the idea of adding an ending sequence (aka, the game will have only the sex scenes).

Now for the "ironic turn of events" of this issue:

On the bad side, well... the game will not feel AS inmersive for those looking for a more built up atmosphere (you know, knowing a little about the main character situation, the reason why he lives with anthro girls and such).

But on the good side... the game will be finished MUCH SOONER than what was expected... I'd dare to say pretty soon, maybe the first week of the upcoming new year (aka, 4 days from now on, more or less).

I'm still thinking about how to deal with this... you know, how to "shape" the game for it not to look like an "unfinished product" just because I had to simplify it a little, so any advice, opinion or thoughts you have about it, please feel free to leave them here. I'll keep working over it... I wouldn't dare to say the game will be ready for today but... who knows... tomorrow, or a couple days after tomorrow... I really have no idea but...

Unexpected turn on the Fluttertime! project :S

Well, as some of you might know, things were (and still are) quite messy around here, but I kept working on the project as a way to give me a break and put my mind somewhere else (much needed), so I decided to give you all a little report on the progress of "Fluttertime!".

I'm glad to say that all "sex scenes" are finally fully animated, so let's recap the options you'll have:

One BJ scene with 4 different variables and two different "climax scenes". (total of 6 alternatives in the BJ option).
One Paizuri scene with 3 different variables and one "climax scene". (total of 4 alternatives in the Paizuri option).
One Intercourse scene (doggystyle, mind you ;) ) with 2 different variables and two "climax scenes". (total of 4 alternatives in the Intercourse option).

Now that all the "core" animations are done (aka: the "interactive" ones in which the game is based), they still have to be linked and articulated through button commands and all that shit that implies a bulkshitload of programming. If that were it, then the game would be pretty much near finished... still have to get good sexy sounds and such, but that is minor work. However, that damn ending has to be done, and that implies drawing two more pieces and animating them so... yeah... it's a neverending story (I seriously wonder wtf will I do when I finish this game... it has been months since I started... never expected it to last THIS LONG...)

Fluttertime! Progress report # ialreadyforgot... 2

Well, I thought that it was time already to give you guys an update about the current state of the Fluttertime! project, so let's get down to it:

1) All "sex scenes" finished and animated (BJ, Paizuri and Intercourse). The only things lacking there are the "finishing" sequences for the "Paizuri" and "Intercourse" scenes, but they're relativelly quick to get done. Some SE also lacking, but as said before, I'm leaving those for the last part.

2) "Orgasmetter" bar implemented, volume control bar added, and animated buttons & button panel added (again, the paizuri and intercourse scenes still don't have it, but it's mere "cut & paste" with just changing the names of the buttons... matter of minutes...

3) Menu screen created, with sliding buttons (how neater can it get?) and SE for when one is clicked... you know... all the little trinkets and gadgets for a more beliveable "game feel".

4) Half of the intro sequence done (I wrote a "backstory" for the game, but I had to shorten and oversimplify it because... well, it's a hentai game... people go there to jerk off usually... having a very complex and/or long story would turn off the casual player... or "jerkoffer") (?)

So, what's there left to be done...?

Let's see:

1) Finish 100% ALL THE SEX ANIMATIONS (I'm 80% or 85% done with that more or less).

2) Finish the other half of the intro sequence (it's just adding dialogue windows and such, but I have to think carefully over how to bring things from... well, getting inside your room to... having Anthro Flutter naked in your bed... I know hentai games aren't strong storyline based but... IDK, if done poorly, it can look like a very forced situation EVEN for a mindless hentai flash game.)

3) Doing all the perifericals (you know, loader screen, disclaimer, credits roll, donation button, etc... minor stuff, mostly text with little programming involved).

4) THIS IS THE MOST CRITIC AND HEAVY OF THESE "TO DO" POINTS: draw the last two scenes for the ending and animating them... this one might take a while, yeah...

I thinks that's pretty much it, so we could call the project... 75% done, maybe? If it weren't for those two last scenes for the ending, I'd be finishing it this week or the next one more or less but... that's how it is...

Hope you can handle the waiting for a little longer ^^ (I have to find an sponsor for this game to make an extra buck, now that I think about it... ideas?)

All that was lost got recently rebuilt, and even enhanced in some aspects.

Let's give a check in for the people out there awaiting it's release:

1) As said, all progress lost at the previous power shortage was redone.
2) All BJ secuences finished. (only lack of sound aside from basic ones and the BGM, but I'll tackle that once the whole game is done cause it's a lesser task).
3) Intercourse animations finished (two speeds: Regular and Fast. Adding a third one seemed kida pointless) (The "finish" secuences are still undergoing developement)
4) Sketching paizuri drawing for further use in paizuri sequence. This would be the last sequence in queue. Once it's done, the "main part" of the game will be finished.

If this were all that's left to do, I'd probably be finished by a week or so... However, I had in mind two more images aside from the "action" ones. One with Flutters resting post-ecchi action ( ), and a fifth and last image as a little joke/cameo with a surprise guest (both of these 2 images wouldn't be interactive nor strictly hentai, but more like just soft ecchi for shit and giggles).

Now that I think bout it, I could put up a poll about it and see what people think I should do...

Should I rush it, finish it as soon as the main 3 sequences are finished? Or would you prefer to wait for the long shot and have the whole project as it was intended since conception?

First secuence (BJ) finally complete (all 3 variables with their 2 optional finishing sequences).

About to start rebuilding what was lost of the second secuence (Intercourse).

After that, it'll be time for the tird secuence (Paizuri), two animated images for the ending, and the general polishing, narration, button creation and such.

It'll be a harsh, long road, but it's moving again nevertheless.

Alright... I don't know where to start...

Let's see:

As you all might know, I'm working on my next hentai game for quite a while. It is a very big project with a lot of effort, sweat and tears over it.

Sadly, misfortune struck me HARD, as the file I was working over for more than a week BECAME CORRUPTED because of a power shortage in all my neighborhood. All the progress I had done over it was utterly and irreversibly lost (I managed to recover some bits and pieces of script, but that was just like the 5% of the project...) and the pain over such an ammount of work being destroyed is... enormous.

Now, you might know that I'm holding the final moments of my last contest as of now. What I intended to do was to make a small pause from developing the game as to do the piece for the winner of such contest... well, that's going to change slightly.

No, don't freak out if you participated at the contest. The winner will get the promised prize. I just need more time than what I expected.

Thing is as follows:

I'll use this coming week to solely work at rebuilding ALL the progress lost at the "Fluttertime!" project. I won't take any kind of extra jobs (commissions, for example) as to be able to focus on recovering from this extremely heavy blow.

Once I recovered all that was lost from this serious misfortune, I'll be back and ready to start working over the prize for the winner.

I'm sorry for all the inconveniences this setback might produce, but I beg your understanding. This is a gigant work I'll have to put up with this entire new week, and I don't want to disappoint all the watchers who were promised this game.

Well... it was a HARD AS HELL job, but the oral animations are almost finished... All that's left for those is to add the sound effects and I'm done with them.

Once that's done (probably by tomorrow), I'll have the testers team test the damn thing, hear their thoughts, and then proceed to draw the next set of images for the second pose.

My dayum, it's a load of work... but believe me... You'll be thankful XD

I'm thinking about putting a couple of donation buttons at the main menu... ya know... for charity... If this could earn me at least a couple bucks, it would be a nice incentive to stay on this trade (life cost is high, dammit). Obviously they'll be voluntary donations. I don't intend to charge for the game.
